A Few of My Favorites - 11.21.14

112114 American Crew Pomade: I've been using this hair product a ton lately. I have been really into the Don Draper look - slicked back and almost greasy looking. What is nice though is that you can use just a little of the pomade to give your hair a slightly shiny look with a great amount of hold.

Mirrors: Let's face it, when Justin Timberlake didn't release a new album within a few years of FutureSex/LoveSounds, we all thought his music career was over. He had moved on to acting. We would no longer be lucky enough to have his voice grace the radio waves. Until March 2013. The return of JT. The 20/20 Experience gave us exactly what we had been waiting for since December 2007, when the last since was released. Out of all the new materials, Mirrors is by far my favorite single. The volume goes up every time it comes on.

MicroTherm StormDown Hooded Jacket: I purchased this jacket from Eddie Bauer a few years ago after the holidays (when it went on sale) and I have found it to be an integral part of my fall/winter wardrobe ever since. What I love about it is the fact that it is incredibly thin yet keeps me so warm. It is a great layering item, perfect to go under any other winter jackets.

J.Crew Camp Socks: It's that time of the year...winter is hitting Chicago. And with that comes frigid temperatures. I love camp socks. They are great to wear while hiking through the snow in your boots or while sitting on the couch in front of a fire and reading a novel.

Titanic: So this is not just a current favorite. I have been obsessed with the Titanic since I was in third grade. Yes, this is before the movie was released. I was obsessed before it ever became mainstream. Ask my parents - I had to have everything Titanic related - books, memorabilia, models, etc. I even made my parents take me to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago when the Titanic Exhibition was there. I about had a fit when I actually got to stand in an exact replica of the Grand Staircase. I am having a moment now just thinking about it...
