Here is the wonderful thing about having parents who like eating - they find amazing recipes to try like this one for cumin grilled pork chops. My mother owns a Vera Bradley cookbook which she swears by; more often than not, I agree, the recipes are incredible.
I really do enjoy pork chops, but they are very difficult to cook perfectly. I am sad to admit that many times I over cook the meat, drying it out. And what is my surefire solution for this issue? Apple sauce. Every time that I dry out my pork chops, I pull out apple sauce and douse the meat in it. But here I am, a legitimate food blogger, and I think it is time that I learned how to make a superbly delicious pork chops.
Enter cumin grilled pork chops...
This recipe is quick, easy, and foolproof. Whisk a few ingredients together, allow the meat to marinade, and then grill? I promise you that it is not going to get much easier than that. Guys (or gals) - if you are trying to impress that special someone, give this recipe a try. It is a delicious recipe that would be quite difficult to screw up.
Try pairing it with a little brown rice and some greens (I put it with broccoli rabe...recipe coming next week!).
Cumin Grilled Pork Chops Serves 6
6 pork chops 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 teaspoon cumin 2 tablespoons brown sugar salt and pepper, to taste
- To make marinade: whisk oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, cumin, brown sugar, salt and pepper together in a large glass measure. Place pork chops in a large casserole dish so they are lying flat without crowding. Pour marinade over pork chops and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours.
- Remove pork chops from refrigerator 1 hour before grilling. Prepare grill.
- Grill pork chops for 4 minutes, then flip and grill for another 3 minutes.
