Jams of the Month | Ed. 12

This isn't real, is it? How could Lollapalooza already be over? My first summer festival experience. The first year of a four-day Lollapalooza. My first time seeing so many incredible artists. So many firsts and I just want to be able to relive them all!

I'm not going to criticize the event itself - lines were long, children were drunk and half naked, the crowds were insane - but I will talk about the music. What I learned from this weekend is that there are some artists that unfortunately do not quite meet expectations and do not sound as good as their records. It really is disappointing. Does that mean that they aren't as great of artists as we had hoped and rely on the help of studio production to make them sounds better? However, when you come across an artist that is so good, so mesmerizing, so engaging with phenomenal stage presence, there is nothing quite like it. Here are some of my favorites for this weekend:

Jack Garratt
Years & Years
Ellie Goulding

This month's Jams of the Month playlist includes a collection of songs both from artists that did and did not play this year's festival. I most definitely will be playing this playlist on repeat for a while. I hope you enjoy!
