As I sit here looking out at the field that I used to play baseball on as a child, I think about how much my mindset and perspective has changed as I've gotten older. I remember growing up, thinking that the world was my oyster. I could become a dolphin trainer or elected official in Washington D.C. I would make a name for myself and success was something that would be achievable. No matter what dream I concocted in my mind, it wasn't too big. I would always find a way to accomplish what I set my mind to.
What was has happened? Why do, as a 30-year old, find it hard to dream big? Why do I limit myself to goals, dreams and standards that are deemed "realistic?" It's unfortunate, as we get older, we often lose our sense of wonder, our ability to dream far beyond what is coined "normal."
This year, my 30th year of life, I have decided to change my mentality. It is time to stop limiting myself and rather live LIMITLESS. It is time to dream big, take risks, challenge myself, face my fears, and push myself further than I ever thought possible. I challenge you to do the same. What will you work to overcome and accomplish this year? Let me know what goals you have set for yourself in the comment below.
