I typically post my monthly playlists the first Monday of every month. Clearly I dropped the ball. It's been a crazy few weeks. I was recently in New York City for work and I extended the trip to allow for a little vacation time. We all know how much I love New York City. It has played a huge part in shaping the person that I am today - teaching me how to go through hardships, showing me what I want in life, who I want to be, and who I don't want to be. Without my time in NYC, I wouldn't be able to fully love who I am today.

Just over three years ago, I moved to Chicago. I was hesitant at first, often comparing it to Manhattan. I thought to myself that it would never live up to New York. But as time passes, as I meet more people, make new friends, and begin building a life for myself in this city, I don't think I would want it any other way. Chicago is my home now.

The Riverwalk is one of my favorite parts of the city. I try to go on a walk along the Chicago River at least once a week, allowing myself to walk alone, listen to music, reflect on where I've been and where I want to go. I love life. It hasn't been the path I expected, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
