Smitten Kitchen is one of my favorite food blogs. The photographs. The writing. The recipes. The cookbook...the reasons just go on and on. So on days that life has gotten the best of me, I am thrilled to feature different blogs that I follow and the cool things that they are creating - it is my inspiration each and every single day.
Every Christmas morning, for as long as I can remember, my family would wake up, go downstairs in our pajamas and open up our stockings and any presents from Santa. We make coffee. Would put on Christmas music. And then afterwards, my dad cooks breakfast in the kitchen.
So when I find recipes like this one for deep dark gingerbread waffles, holy crap am I jealous. I've already written down the recipe in my journal in preparation for making them one of these days. I cannot wait to try them out!
Before you start your Christmas Eve, whether your spending it with family or friends, or just hanging out at home, take a few minutes to check out this post on Smitten Kitchen. The work and content that Deb shares with us each day is phenomenal. She is incredible at what she does and I so look up to her as a fellow blogger. Thanks Deb!
Note: All photography on this blog post are from Smitten Kitchen. I do not take responsibility for them - it's all Deb at Smitten Kitchen.
