As always, all opinions expressed are my own.
After four and a half months of living in Los Angeles, I can now say that I've had visitors to my new home. This past weekend, my parents and brother flew out to the West Coast to escape the cold Midwest winter and get a taste of February in California.
Introducing the family to hemp milk (cold brew at The Butcher's Daughter in Venice), window shopping along Abbot Kinney Boulevard, walking along the Santa Monica beach, gourmet sausages at Wurstküche, and finally sunny days in Malibu, walking along the beach and enjoying a refreshingly glass of rosé.
With only a few days in Los Angeles, it was important for me to share my new home with my family. Rather than tackling all of the typical tourist traps, I wanted to show them what my LA looks like. Everything I showed them was something that I would do in my everyday life.
It was strange saying goodbye to them last night as I dropped them off at LAX, but I am so grateful for the days that we had together. And I am already looking forward to many more visitors!
